Our Story
Hi! I’m Ed, the founder of Revive Float, and I’d love to share a little about myself and how this journey began.

My interest in health and wellbeing started early—initially through weight training and running as a teenager, and later expanding into broader wellness practices such as yoga and meditation.
At university, I discovered the power of cold showers as a way to boost my energy, motivation, and clarity of thought. I loved the feeling and began exploring other ways to support both my mental and physical wellbeing.

With an academic background in Biomedical Science and Psychology, and having completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training course, I’ve developed a strong interest in the human body and mind — and how we can optimise our health in everyday life using evidence-based practices and tools.

I had the opportunity to try floatation for the first time while on holiday in Poland in 2017, having previously known nothing about it. It took a few minutes to get used to the tank and settle my mind, but then I felt calm, connected, and truly at peace for the first time in a long while. After the float, my senses felt heightened and my mind was still. It was an incredible experience — one that began a journey with floatation that would ultimately lead to Revive Float. Since then, floatation and cold water therapy have become core parts of my own wellness routine, helping me manage stress, stay grounded, and recover from CrossFit, which has been my main sport for the past few years.

When the opportunity arose to build a small wellness space from my home in Sheffield, I took the plunge (pardon the pun). With the support of some incredible people, I’ve built Revive Float step by step — combining floatation with the cold water practices that have shaped my own life. I feel truly grateful to now be able to share these tools with others, especially in a time when so many of us need moments of stillness, recovery, and reconnection.

Revive Float is a small but evolving space. I’m committed to continuously learning, listening to feedback, and making improvements as I go.
I hope you feel welcome here and enjoy your time as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
Ed
